Absolutely incredible. Undercarriage perfectly crispy, soft inside. Service was also very quick. Great place if you're on the move. It was packed, still got my bagel quick. Top 3 bagel I've had in my life.
Very solid smoked salmon bagel. The highlights was the condiments on top and they have a very nice everything bagel. Nice place
So I have seen this place on social media outlets and kept meaning to go but forgetting about it. There was a coffee shop I had set my mind on going to and when I got to the coffee shop saw this place and saw there was a line out the door. After getting my coffee, I crossed the street and waited in line. When I got there the line was nit crazy at all which was good. I had a very nice lady take my order and she made sure to note my allergies as there is white fish and lox that are being used here. You have a choice between three different types of bagels and some spreads. They have sandwich options that are a big hit here. I got a sandwich option which was scallion cream cheese with cucumber, tomato and dill on a sesame bagel. They also top it off with oil and some seasoning. OMG it was sooooo good I could have two of these! Alot of people I saw got the lox sandwich which also looked amazing. The ambiance of this place is that its an open space with no inside tables just a little bar area by window that people can stand at. There is some outdoor seating though. This is a place that I am sure is all over tik tok and social media and it is definitely worth going to! I will be back for sure!
Let me start by saying the scallion cream cheese was actually divine. It had this rich buttery taste, I could eat it plain - almost would have preferred to. If you get a bagel with toppings they drizzle olive oil and sprinkle some seasoning which honestly was the cherry on top for the cream cheese. The olive oil dressing somehow made the cream cheese even more buttery and creamy - I'm drooling thinking about it. What brought the rating down for me is the bagels itself - I had high hopes given the long long lines. But the bagel was very hard - super difficult to bite into because they were too crispy. Would've preferred them to be a little more fluffy. It was actually a workout to chew this and all of our jaws were cracking trying to bite in. It really was a shame because this may just be the best cream cheese I've ever eaten. The line even though very long does move quite quickly, we waited for 25 mins and the line was about 15 people outside the store. I'll be going back to buy just the scallion cream cheese that I will be eating right out the tub.
Third visit to Apollo! And I don't repeat places that often, especially within a couple of months! And Utopia Bagels opened near me recently, which I also enjoy however, it says something about Apollo if I'm willing to walk further for their bagels! Walked down on Wednesday am, arrived 10:45ish, short line, about 10 people and line moved quickly. This time I had the smoked salmon sandwich with dill, onions, capers and plain cream cheese on sesame bagel! OMG loved every single bite! A few weeks ago, my second visit, plain cream cheese, tomato, little olive oil salt pepper. Simple delicious great ingredients!!
SO GOOd I love this place the bagels are great. The crunch is so good and you really realize the impact of a good toasted bagel!! my favorite is the bagel with cream cheese and tomato - the seasoning is so good (better than pop-up bagels imo)
After seeing the lines for this bagel shop for weeks, I decided to stop by on a whim to see what the hype was about. Despite the usual line, the lines went by pretty quickly. Once I saw the menu, I understood why -- the menu isn't like your typical bagel shop menu with a ton of options. You only get to choose from plain, everything, and sesame handmade sourdough bagels and a handful of toppings. I opted for the plain bagel (they had run out of the other options by the time it was my turn to order) with scallion cream cheese and tomato, and it was absolutely delicious! The bagel was served open-faced, with fresh tomato and a delightful touch of olive oil on top. The crunchy shell added the perfect texture. There's no seating area, but there's a small spot by the window that allows you to stand and enjoy your meal. Would recommend giving Apollo Bagels a try!
When there's a line waiting out the door, that tells you something. My friend kept raving about these bagels that he found on Instagram, When showed me a few pictures, I was intrigued. I made a note to visit one day and I'm so happy I did. These are not your ordinary morning to go bagels. These are bagels to be savored and they're absolutely filling. Can't stop thinking of the Tomato Bagel! It's definitely mysteriously delicious!
I enjoyed my bagel from Apollo SO very much, but NYC bagel purists be warned: it's a different kind of bagel! We arrived on a gorgeous June Saturday morning around 11:30 am, fully aware that these are the kinds of conditions for peak long line situations. There was a long line for sure, which we estimated would take about an hour, but it moved more quickly than we were expecting! The whole wait time total was maybe about 35 minutes. A contrast from your typical New York bagel shop, Apollo has a rather limited menu: for example, it has two different cream cheese options (scallion and tofu) rather than, like, 50, and the bagels themselves are limited to three varieties (plain, everything, and sesame). I actually really appreciated this, as it helped with decision fatigue, rather eliminated the possibility of ordering badly, and kept the line moving. I ordered an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and tomato, while my partner tried avocado everything with smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onion, and dill. While I tried a bite of his and enjoyed it, I absolutely LOVED mine. The outside of the bagel, which came toasted and was completely covered in everything accoutrements, gave salty, garlicky, crunchy, charred elements, while the SUPER fresh tomato offered umami and the olive oil added decadence. I will say that if you're used to fluffy, doughy NYC-style bagels... this is not that. This (toasted, crunchy) is exactly what you've always been advised not to do to your bagel. But you (probably) don't really have a choice here, it probably works better for the style of the bagel, and it tastes amazing as is anyway, so just don't worry about it and enjoy! I also ordered an iced coffee and it was great.
